Exclusive: OANDA UK CEO David Hodge resigns

FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that longtime OANDA senior executive David Hodge has resigned from the company.

We understand that Mr. Hodge, based in London, is currently working on some continuing commitments to OANDA but has already stepped off the board of the group’s FCA regulated entity, OANDA Europe Limited. We also understand that after a period of gardening leave David will be joining another firm the FX/CFDs space, in a senior management position.

David Hodge had been with OANDA for four and a half years, joining in 2017 from CMC Markets where he was Chief Commercial Officer. At OANDA he was the CEO for UK/Europe and the EMEA region, as well as Chief Revenue Officer for OANDA globally.

His departure from OANDA is the latest in a string of defections of senior executives to other firms. OANDA’s London based Chief Marketing Officer Chantelle Johnson left the company this summer, joining rival Equiti Group as CMO, as was also exclusively reported by FNG. Mr. Hodge had also assumed Ms. Johnson’s CMO duties at OANDA after her departure.
